Summary:

2/2/2012--Introduced.Retiree Health Coverage Protection Act - Amends the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to increase from $5 billion to $10 billion the amount appropriated to the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for the temporary reinsurance program to reimburse participating employment-based group health benefits plans for a portion of the cost of providing health insurance coverage to early retirees (and their eligible spouses and dependents) between establishment of the program and January 1, 2014.
